På mina sidor finns tre teman:

Den Gustavianska tiden och Gustav III krig mot Ryssland 1788-90.
Läs om bakgrunden till kriget, händelseförloppet och ögonvittnesskildringar från flera av drabbningarna.

Jag har också gjort en sammanställning över alla Svenska regementen och tillfälliga kårer som deltog. Under varje enhet redovisas fakta om rekryteringsområde, styrka, uniformer, fanor och vilka strider som de var med om. 

Långfredagsslaget

Fredagen den 6 april 1520 utspelade sig den senaste och kanske blodigaste krigshändelsen i Uppsala, när en svensk bondehär drabbade samman med Kristian II legosoldater. Läs om förhistorien, se bilder och titta på kartor.

Read about the background to the conflict, follow the campaigns and participate in some of the battles through the eyes of one of the participants.

I have also made a list of all the Swedish army units that participated in the war. See the recruiting areas, their strength, uniforms, flags and what actions they participated in. Most of it is also relevant for those of you that is hunting for info on the Napoleon war as well.

The Good Friday battle

On the 6th of April 1520, the latest major military battle were fought in my home town Uppsala. An army of armed peasants clashed with a Danish army. The battle that has gone down in the history books as the Good Friday battle were fought in what today is built up areas in the centre of the town.
