DEEP PURPLE
Scandinavian Tour 8th-11th Dec 1973 Schedule
The following three pages are copies
of the actual tour-package that International Concert
Organisation A/S laid out for Deep Purple and their
organisation in december 1973 and they are
interesting for Deep Purple fans to see since they
show exactly what the first few days of Deep Purple
MK 3 on the road looked like. "Burn" was in
the pipeline but still not released, and the band
kicked off the world tour with a short Scandinavian
trek. Seen here is also the december 8 concert that
was cancelled due to bad weather (which meant that
the equipment didnīt make it to the gig on time) and
also the december 10 recording session that resulted
in the b-side "Coronarias Redig". The band
played their first show in the KB Hallen on december
9. The magazine above is my old DEEP PURPLE FOREVER
publication (issue 30) and that consisted of classic
press releases and the like (including these pages)
from the MK 3 period of Deep Purple. This page was
put up as a compliment to this
interview with David Coverdale, that you can read
on my Atlantis Online site. MIKE ERIKSSON (august
2005).
