Tundra started as a one man project by Andreas back in 2005. Recording songs with drum machines and different singers on each track soon got old so a few old friends was asked whether they would like to join the band and within a month the first Tundra line up was seen performing at a small gig in the home town of Piteå. A couple of months after their stage debut, demo number one (The North Will Rise) was recorded. By then the line up had changed with Jonas handling the bass and Ola drumming. Demo number two (The Ravens Head) was recorded at Studio Nord in march-april 2008 with the new line up and not long after Magnus joined the band since his skills was needed for live gigs. Presently we are recording demo number three, Dawn of a New Disease for release hopefully June 2009.

Tundra is all about metal the way it sounded when we grew up in the 80's. Piercing vocals, fat riffs, heavy, fast and with plenty of balls. Influences are the classic sounds of acts such as Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Dio, Saxon, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Queensryche and more.
