Today I work as an independent booking agent, within jazz, blues, world music and mixtures of these styles. I work with a hand-picked selection of bands, plus whatever extra projects I have time for. 
I also  write about music for a couple of magazines. Besides this I work with promotion, translation, web design, education, music production etc. My company is called Westman Music. 

 
General background 

Active in the music life since the 70's as touring musician, concert arranger, band booker, etc 

University degree in journalism, studies in musical science at Gothenburg University

Consultant ( information, communication, web design, database administration etc) at Tetra Pak and Alfa Laval, 1995 -2004. 
Production planner within the manufacturing industry in the United States for 3 years

Translator, Swedish-English and English-Swedish. Fluent in German and French, semi-fluent in Dutch and Danish

Blues and soul band King George Band 1982 - 1995. Average 150 gigs/year, touring Scandinavia, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland. France, Greece and USA. During those years, my name was Annika Clemons.

Bass player in the house band at a blues club in Watts,  L.A. 1985 - 86 

Jam sessions with, among others, Luther Allison (in Paris and Amsterdam) and played some gigs with Lousiana Red (in South Germany)

Promotion & management

Today I'm booking and promoting a handful of bands, jazz, blues, afro: (see startpage) I also work with other types of promotion on a freelance basis.

In 1989 I started my own production company where I was handling bookings, PR, finance, tour management, and CD/vinyl/cassette productions. 

Through the years I've been working with, and in some cases also starting, several clubs for live music, arranging concerts and festivals. One of them was the International Blues Society, where I was in charge of PR, booking bands and sometimes also working as a sound technician.
