Tired of cheating...
In the year of 1968, a bunch of college students had grewn tired of the lack
of sportsmanship and the constant cheating encountered in numerous traditional
team sports.
They wanted to create a game where the players themselves had to
take more responsibility for following the rules of the game. And the fabulous
game without referees, Ultimate, saw the light of day.

Even though fair play is very honored, the players play fast and competitive, and are more than willing to sacrifice for the team...
In a Wall Street Journal article on the game, it is described with the words: "..ultimate frisbee combines speed, grace and powerful hurling with a grueling pace."

The game in short...
You cannot run while holding the frisbee. You can pivot on one foot exactly as in basketball.
No body contact is allowed.
The playing field is dicided into three zones: a mid zone where most of the actual play takes place,
plus two end zones, one for each team.
You score by throwing the disc from the mid zone to another
member of your team standing in the other teams end zone (Just like a
touchdown reception in american football)

"Far too exhausting..."
Ultimate is probably one of the team sports that requires the
most of physical endurance in the athletes.
Once a professional soccer player tried some
ultimate, and all he said was "Never again! This is too exhausting for me!"

The playing field is divided into three zones...
Outdoors, Ultimate is played by 7-player teams on a field app. 110x40meters.
(About the same length as a football field, but a bit narrower) Indoors a standard size handball court is used, and a team consists of 5 players.
