This miniscule house is built from Karen Marsh's Tiny Full Cup Café kit. It is almost small enough to be used as a 1:48 scale dollhouse in a 1:12 setting, or a 1:12 scale dollhouse in a 1:48 setting. Click on the pics for closeups. The house is shown on a crooked 1/4" scale table (built from Madelyn Cook's directions in Nutshell News, during my first year of making 1:48 miniatures).
I made two changes compared to Karen's instructions: I omitted one of the windows, and added a fireplace inside. There is no furniture in the house, only Karen's resin bench outside. I wish I'd had the patience to sand the resin log slice really thin; now it looks a bit clumsy in 1/4" scale. I recommend this kit - it was easy and fun to build, and the landscaping supplies that were included were in scale.
