Sometime in the summer of 2002, I e-mailed the editor of the
British publication Dolls' House Magazine to express my gratitude. For nearly two years I had been frustrated by the problem of how to dress a gentleman doll for my Tudor Castle, and now it had finally been solved, thanks to a 1:12 scale project in the May 2002 issue of Dolls' House Magazine.
I was flattered to recieve a reply saying that they were going to use my e-mail on their letters page in a future issue, and later I was surprised to learn that it was selected star letter of the month, rendering me a £25 (about $35) award! My letter was published in the October 2002 issue of Dolls' House Magazine. The full page is shown to the left, and below is a scan of my letter.
