Affiliate Networks

In order to make money from your web site or your google Adwords campaigns, you have to find a merchant with an affiliate program that has the product or products you wish to promote. Affiliate programs are also known as associate programs, referral programs and bounty programs.

The easiest way to find a merchant that has the product or to find products you wish to promote is to join affiliate networks, the affiliate network act as a middleman between affiliates and merchants. Merchants lists their products and the details of their affiliate programs in these networks.

To make it simple for affiliates to find programs the networks lists the programs in categories. They usually also have a search function that returns all the programs that carries the product you search for, details of the program such as commissions, statistics and weather you get paid by sales, leads or by clicks.

An advantage of joining an affiliate network is that they track your sales or leads, also if your a member of several affiliate programs in that network they consolidate your earnings from all your affiliate programs into a single monthly paycheck.

If you live outside the UK, US or Canada receiving a check from another country may not be a good idea as some banks charge a very hefty processing fee, you may want to check with your bank what their fees are an processing checks from outside your country.

Joining affiliate networks are free for affiliates and once accepted you get access to your own administrative area where you will find all your affiliate links from the merchant programs you have signed up for as well as how many sales and leads you've generated.
