Earn Money By Promoting Other Peoples Stuff!

How I got started in affiliate marketing!

About a year ago I stumbled across an interesting article about how you can earn money online promoting other peoples products. This was called affiliate marketing.
Of course this sparked my interest, especially when you didn't need a web site to do it.

I didn't now how to build a web page let alone a web site and I still don't, that is, until I found this amazing software called Xsitepro.

Anyway the article explained how you could use Google Adwords to place small Ads on the right side of googles search engine results, this is called Pay Per Click advertising (PPC), and you can use this to promote a merchants product by sending traffic directly to the merchants web site.

You can also use this to start sending traffic to your own web site almost immediately.

Basicly it works like this, you buy certain words or phrases from google called keywords and when someone does a search for that word or phrase your ad (with your affiliate link embedded in it) will show up promoting whatever product you have choosen.

When someone clicks on your ad you pay anywhere from a few cents to several dollars depending how competitive that product or market is. You get a commission if someone buys a product after they clicked on your ad.

The article recommended the ebook The Definitive Guide to Google AdWords by Perry Marshall ,and after a bit of research Online I saw that this ebook came highly recommended, so this was the first ebook on the  subject I ever read. You also need to sign up as an affiliate for the product you have chosen. The easiest way to find a product is to become a member at one of the many affiliate networks out there.
